About Michelle
My name is Michelle Bean, and I've been working as a dietitian for many years in nutrition research and counseling. I talk to people about struggles with weight management as well as prediabetes/ diabetes, heart health (LDL, HDL, cholesterol, triglycerides, high blood pressure), and general health and well being including healthy aging and menopause.
Approach to care
My approach to care is collaborative. I see this as a team approach where we'll work together to reach your goals. Working toward weight loss goals and other health goals is a marathon, not a sprint so I like to think about behavioral goals that are guideposts along the way. There are so many benefits from setting goals for nutrition and exercise like feeling better, sleeping better, less pain, etc. These are so important and rewarding, and they are things that people often notice fairly quickly.
Your first session with Michelle
I want to get to know about you and your lifestyle! Food and movement often fit into our lives in many different ways, and it's important that what we work on fits your lifestyle. I want to focus on what is sustainable for you. I'll be asking about you and your goals and how we can work toward those goals together.
