About Michelle

Michelle is a Registered Dietitian with over 15 years experience in various healthcare settings from community, outpatient renal dialysis and inpatient care. She has a passion for helping those with chronic kidney disease, GI issues, prediabetes, women health issues and/or planning for a healthy pregnancy develop a healthy relationship with food. She is a lifelong learner; currently, she is studying for her Board Certification in Renal Specialty and will be a Board Certified Functional Medicine Provider in the future. She is a food first dietitian that will provide you simple, individually tailored medical nutrition therapy plan to help nourish your body.

Approach to care

I aim to empower my clients to make informed diet and lifestyle changes to lead to improved health outcomes and reduce the risk of chronic diseases through a holistic approach. Changing your eating habits does not need to be restrictive nor confusing. I'll guide you in your journey to curate healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes using simple, evidence-based, culturally sensitive medical nutrition therapy. I will listen to you, your barriers and meet you where you are to create sustainable and realistic goals.

Your first session with Michelle

Your first session with Michelle will consist of getting to know you and understand your reason for wanting to meet with a dietitian. She will complete an in-depth investigation on your current labs, medical history, lifestyle/exercise/sleep habits and family history. Michelle wants to make sure she has a clear picture of you and your individual goals and needs. Finally, we will curate a plan of care for moving forward with short-term and long-term goals.
