Patient reviews
“Michelle is very knowledgeable and easy to talk too. She empowers me to take the lead in my health journey in a way that works best for my busy lifestyle. We set realistic, attainable goals that still allow me to have fun. All along the way offering support and encouragement. Michelle has helped me better understand my relationship with food, how it interacts with my body, and how small changes can have big effects. For the first time I feel healthy, and satiated while losing weight. TYSM!! “

About Michelle
Hi! I LOVE FOOD!! I've been a Registered Dietitian for 16 + years. In 2002 while earning my culinary arts management degree my Grandmother was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer and my Father with type 2 diabetes. I took a pivot in my career path towards the journey of health; as Greek philosopher, Hippocrates once stated: "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." I'm a lifelong learner; currently, I am studying for my Board Certification in Renal Specialty. My two children are constantly challenging me with keeping them fueled. Since I've been a Nourish RD, I have discovered my passion lies in this setting, holistically improving your health. Let’s begin this journey together toward a healthier and happier you!
Approach to care
To empower YOU to make informed diet and lifestyle changes that lead to improved health outcomes and reduce your risk of chronic diseases through a holistic and evidence-based lens. Changing your eating habits does not need to be restrictive nor confusing. I'll listen to you and guide you in your journey to curate healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes using simple, evidence-based and culturally sensitive nutrition therapy. All changes in every walk in life are not easy, but together we can make a simplified plan for you. There’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach here.
Your first session with Michelle
During your first session we will spend most of our time getting to know you as an individual, beyond just your nutrition goals and challenges. Next, I'll ask clarifying questions regarding your diet, medical, weight history, family medical history, current habits related to sleep, eating, work, stress, hydration, and exercise...Please hang in there; I can't give advice until I know more about you. In addition, I'll set the stage regarding what to expect in sessions. I want you to be comfortable with me and the process. Together, we'll set one goal to prioritize before our next sessions. In future sessions, we agree on your individualized plan and you get to work. Remember, while I'm your guide, you are driving the change. NOTES: Availability Varies from Monday-Friday (Some Saturdays). Not accepting ARFID/OSFED, anorexia, binge-purge disorders.
