About Michelle
I have worked in the field of dietetics for 25 years and still am excited every day to come to work. My family has a strong history of heart disease; I watched my family become healthier from making dietary changes. This was the catalyst to my interest in becoming a dietitian. The majority of my career has been focused on outpatient nutrition counseling, meeting with people one on one to help guide and educate on areas to help improve their overall health. Helping people accomplish their goals has been very rewarding. When I am not working, I am an avid cyclist and out on the roads or home playing with my dog. During my down time I enjoy knitting.
Approach to care
My approach to care centers around the individual's goals and interests. Learning about where the person would like to make a change as well as their interest in an area to improve on helps to guide the session. Individualized goal and approach help increase success with improving health.
Your first session with Michelle
The first session revolves around learning about the person and what they would like to accomplish with changes to their dietary habits. Goals and education are focused on the client's interests and where they are ready to make a change. Individualized care and guidance is provided to help guide the session and help with the persons success.
