About Michelle

Hi, I'm Michelle. With 20 years as a Registered Dietitian, I bring a practical, person-centered approach to food and health. I earned my B.S. in Dietetics from Western Illinois University and have worked across clinical and hospital settings, private practice, and community health, plus as a consultant dietitian in outpatient clinics, hospitals, dialysis centers, and nursing homes. I’m proud to hold the credentials LDN, RDN, and RD. When I’m not guiding clients, you’ll find me in the garden, out for a walk, or scrolling through new recipes. I’m here to help you nurture a healthier relationship with food and your body, one step at a time.

Approach to care

My care philosophy blends evidence-based practice with warmth and collaboration. I stay grounded in current science while keeping our conversations human and practical. We’ll explore your relationship with food without judgment, honoring your values and daily life. I practice with a Health At Every Size mindset and a holistic, educational approach, focusing on sustainable behavior changes rather than quick fixes. You’ll be met with empathy, honest feedback, and clear steps we can take together. By combining science, compassion, and your lived experience, we build a plan that fits you and supports lasting wellbeing.

Your first session with Michelle

Our first appointment is all about you. We'll start in a warm, judgment-free space and review your medical history, lab work, and biometrics, while listening to your relationship with food and your goals. There’s no need to have it all figured out before we meet. Together we’ll identify 1 or 2 realistic next steps and short-term goals to begin moving in the direction you want. We’ll discuss your routines and resources, and I’ll explain how we’ll support you along the way.
