About Miranda
Hi there, I’m Miranda, a Texas-based dietitian! I help people find the sweet spot where they are nourishing their bodies in an enjoyable, sustainable way, while improving their health and working within any medical conditions or needs. In a world where we're bombarded with sensational quick-fixes and extreme food rules, I value a science-based, realistic, and personalized approach to nutrition. Whether your goal is to manage a chronic condition like prediabetes or high blood pressure, make preventative nutrition and lifestyle changes for lifelong health, or develop a more peaceful and healthy relationship with food, I look forward to working with you!
Approach to care
I practice through an evidence-based, client-centered lens, encouraging collaboration and communication at every step. Sessions are always judgment-free and supportive, meeting you where you are to make the most meaningful changes and build practical, healthy habits. You won’t find me pushing rigid diets, extreme restriction, or quick fixes. There is no “one-size-fits-all” solution, and I know each of my patients is a unique human being with unique needs.
Your first session with Miranda
During our first session, we’ll get to know each other and build a foundation for working together. We will discuss in depth your current nutrition and lifestyle, medical history and health goals, and what you are looking to achieve through nutrition counseling. I’ll ask questions about your day-to-day life, food habits and preferences, and anything else that may help me guide our sessions. Feel free to ask your own questions too; this session is also for you to become more comfortable with me and make sure we are on the same page and working toward the same priorities. By the end of our first session, we’ll have an overall plan for the direction of our sessions, and a few small goals to begin working toward.
