About Miriam
I have 9 years of nutrition experience and 4 years as a Registered Dietitian. Iāve worked in hospitals, community health, dialysis units, sports nutrition, weight loss and weight gain tailoring my approach to each personās unique circumstances. Iām passionate about improving metabolic health, especially for those with prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, or chronic kidney disease. I also enjoy helping individuals build sustainable habits for overall health and chronic disease prevention. I believe the best way to care for your health is by making changes now, not later. Food is more than just nourishmentāit connects us to others. I help clients find alternatives to foods they love, believing you donāt have to give up what you enjoy to live a healthy life. Itās about balancing what you eat with your lifestyle. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, biking, training for marathons, testing new recipes, and spending time with my pets.
Approach to care
Evidence guides the plans I offer, but lasting change comes from sustainable habits that fit your real life. As an RDN I translate current research into concrete, practical steps we'll try together, with clear actions and gentle accountability. I use a weight-neutral, behavior-focused lens so we center wellbeing rather than a number on the scale. We'll look at nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress as interconnected pieces, and I make education a core part of care so you leave understanding the why behind each recommendation.
Your first session with Miriam
Expect a calm, judgment-free conversation where we'll explore your relationship with food and review medical history and any lab work or biometrics you bring. We'll discuss routines, barriers, and what has or hasn't worked, then set one to three short-term SMART goals that feel realistic and measurable. You don't need to have answers or a perfect plan before we meet. We'll outline clear next steps, small experiments to try, and a way to track progress together so you leave feeling supported and confident about what comes next.
