About Monique
Helping people build habits that last has been the throughline of my work for the past five years. I hold an MS in Family and Consumer Sciences and practice as a licensed, registered dietitian (RDN, LDN) with experience in both clinical hospital units and community health programs. I bring a warm, practical eye to counseling, and outside of work I restore patience and curiosity through gardening and small-batch soap making. Those hobbies remind me that meaningful change takes time, gentle tweaks, and care.
Approach to care
I lean on evidence and empathy to guide our work together. Grounded in current research, I explain the why behind recommendations so you can make informed choices, not follow rigid rules. I practice weight-neutral, HAES-informed care that focuses on behaviors and quality of life. We'll set clear, practical steps and build accountability that fits your life, addressing emotional, mental, and physical pieces so change is sustainable, not temporary.
Your first session with Monique
On your first visit we'll have a relaxed, thorough conversation where I review your medical history and any available lab work or biometrics. We'll take a deep dive into your relationship with food, exploring patterns, barriers, and what has or hasn't worked before. Nothing you share is judged. Together we'll translate that information into one to two short-term, achievable goals and a clear next step, so you leave knowing the why behind our plan and feeling ready to move forward.
