About Morgan
Hi friends! My name is Morgan Peach, and I am so glad you're here. I have been working in the health and wellness profession for the last 10 years, and it is my passion to utilize my nutrition expertise to help you live your healthiest, most balanced life. I began my career as a dietitian specializing in eating disorders at the PHP and IOP levels, where I embraced an “All Foods Fit” approach grounded in evidence-based care. Currently, I work as a dietitian and Certified Lactation Specialist in the public health field where I focus on pre- and post-natal care and child nutrition. This role has enabled me to connect my two passions - movement and nutrition - in a way that promotes a preventative approach to health. As a former personal trainer and weekend warrior, I believe movement is key to optimizing health. In my off time, you will find me salsa dancing, rock climbing, appreciating nature, or connecting with loved ones - usually over a delicious, homecooked meal.
Approach to care
I am a huge advocate for the "All Foods Fit" approach to care. This means that no single food or food group should be added to or eliminated from the diet based on the idea that it is "good" or "bad". Rather, I like to emphasize an inclusive approach that balances nourishment with pleasure. I also find it is important to keep cultural foods as a part of one's regular diet and believe that adding to, rather than taking away from, recipes can be a helpful way to increase the nutritional value of a meal. In addition, I believe that optimal health is achieved when there is intentional effort put into every aspect of our lives including nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and spiritual/mental health. While I always aim to stay within my scope of practice, I may ask about these other elements or ask that my clients be working with a therapist to ensure every aspect of health is being addressed - particularly if looking to focus on eating disorder behaviors.
Your first session with Morgan
In our first session, we will take some time to get to know one another and set an intention for our work together. We will look at your medical history, weight history, medications/supplements list, allergies/intolerances, food knowledge and beliefs, and eating disorder behaviors (if applicable). At the end of the session, we will come up with 1-2 short term goals along with 1-2 long-term goals and set up our next follow up appointment. This can also be a great time to download and set up the Nourish app as well as answer any other questions you may have about how Nourish works. I'm looking forward to meeting with you soon.
