About Natalie

Hi, I'm Nat, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based nutrition care that supports your whole self — body, mind, and identity. As an LGBTQIA+ affirming provider, I create a safe and respectful space for clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and lived experiences. With a strong background in managing complex nutrition needs, I specialize in supporting clients with: -Digestive disorders (including IBS and low FODMAP diets) -Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, and prediabetes) -Cardiovascular disease (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease) -Chronic kidney disease -Other nutrition-related conditions, including weight concerns, PCOS, inflammation, and metabolic health I am committed to helping you feel empowered around food — without judgment, shame, or unrealistic expectations.

Approach to care

My philosophy is grounded in collaborative care, inclusivity, and evidence-based practice. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all nutrition advice. Instead, I work with you to develop personalized, sustainable strategies that align with your medical needs, personal values, cultural background, and lifestyle. Key principles of my practice: -Affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients: I recognize the unique health disparities and stressors faced by LGBTQIA+ communities and strive to offer a safe, validating environment. -Nutrition therapy without shame: Whether you’re dealing with a chronic condition or exploring your relationship with food, I meet you where you are — with compassion and respect. -Culturally sensitive and body-inclusive: Your lived experience matters. I practice with a weight-inclusive and trauma-informed lens, honoring all body sizes and backgrounds.

Your first session with Natalie

Our first session is all about you. We'll spend about 60 minutes getting to know each other. Here's what we’ll cover: -A full review of your medical history, symptoms, labs, and current medications -A deep dive into your nutrition habits, relationship with food, and lifestyle factors -Your goals, concerns, and what you hope to get from working together -Personalized next steps tailored to your health needs and preferences I’ll also answer any questions you have and make sure you feel confident and supported as we move forward. You don’t need to prepare anything ahead of time — just bring yourself. My goal is to make this experience collaborative, approachable, and genuinely helpful from day one.

Education

-Master's of Business Administration to be completed January 2026 at The University of Rhode Island -Master's of Science in Food Sciences completed May 2018 from The University of Rhode Island -Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietitics; Minor in Leadership completed May 2016 at The University of Rhode Island -FODMAP Ceritifcation from Monash University

Hobbies

Outside of work, you’ll often find me out on a hiking trail, reading a good book, or spending time with animals (bonus points if I’m doing all three at once!). I love being in nature, connecting with others, and finding joy in everyday moments — and I bring that same grounded, curious, and open energy into the work I do with clients.
