About Negin
I am a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Nutritionist with a Ph.D. in Nutrition Sciences from Florida State University. With eight years of experience in clinical and academic settings, I specialize in translating nutrition science into practical strategies for better health. As an Assistant Professor at Life University, I have the privilege of mentoring aspiring dietitians while staying engaged with the latest advancements in nutrition science. My research focuses on the impact of nutrition and polyphenol-rich functional foods on vascular health and the prevention of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
Approach to care
My approach to nutrition counseling is rooted in compassion, personalization, and evidence-based care. I believe that every individual has unique needs, preferences, and goals, and I take the time to listen and understand your specific situation. Rather than labeling foods as “good” or “bad,” I focus on the bigger picture—helping you nourish your body with nutrient-rich foods while also honoring your cravings and enjoying food in a balanced, sustainable way. As a provider who embraces Health at Every Size® (HAES) and intuitive eating, I am committed to fostering a positive and non-judgmental relationship with food. My approach is inclusive, welcoming, and supportive, guiding you to trust your body’s internal cues and make food choices that enhance your health and well-being. Together, we’ll work to build a sustainable, empowering approach to nutrition that reflects your unique lifestyle and supports your overall health, free from judgment.
Your first session with Negin
The first nutrition counseling session is all about getting to know you—your health, lifestyle, and goals—so we can create a plan that truly works for you. We’ll start with a relaxed conversation about what brought you in, any health concerns, and what you hope to achieve. I’ll ask about your typical eating habits, lifestyle factors like sleep and stress, and any medical history that might be relevant. From there, we’ll explore how your current nutrition aligns with your goals and discuss small, realistic changes that feel doable. I’ll provide guidance, clear up any misconceptions, and together, we’ll set a few personalized, achievable steps to get you started. By the end of our session, you’ll have a clear direction, a plan that fits your life, and the reassurance that you’re not in this alone—I’m here to support you every step of the way!
