About Nicole

Nicole Knee has been a dietitian for almost 25 years. She has been working with adults and children to manage weight to gain or lose depending on the goal. She is a wife for over 25 years and a mom to two EXTRAORDINARY children. She has a Master's in Public Health with a focus on Nutrition from UNC Chapel Hill - go Tarheals!!! A Massachusetts native, she was drawn back to her home state to raise her children close to her family. Go Celtics!!!

Approach to care

Empowering patients by starting where they are, cultivating their goals and collaborating on a plan. Identifying the pattern is awareness, choosing not to repeat the pattern is growth. You cannot grow without support. However, often our expectation is that change happens with a linear growth curve but reality looks more like a maze with ups and downs, curves side to side. However it doesn't matter how small the steps are, the most important thing is that you are moving forward.

Your first session with Nicole

Expect to talk a lot and express your "why" when you explain your goal. Discussions will focus on your reality and also what you have been told. Once goals are established, together we can develop a plan. We have time to work on the steps of the plan over the next visits. Set expectations knowing your own limitations and build confidence that you have the ability to turn your wish into a reality.

Hobbies

I love to watch my children do what they love (running and cheerleading). I could not be a bigger cheer mom and sideline racing cheerleader. Twice a day you will find me walking my Havanese, Mopsy, around my neighborhood. Weather permitting I am outside in New England hiking, kayaking or walking on the sand. Every day I read and sometimes when I'm lucky with my feet in the sand or by a fire. Sometimes I seek out the quiet and spend time in nature alone but thankfully my husband and children share these experiences with me.
