About Nikole

I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and went on to complete my Dietetic Internship at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. I became a credentialed Dietitian in 2012 and spent the first 5 years of my career in the critical care setting, specializing in nutrition support. Previous roles include: Senior Clinical Dietitian for Select Specialty Hospital in Pensacola, Florida; Clinical II Dietitian at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas; and Health Promotions Dietitian for Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas.

Approach to care

I can help develop plans for: overall health/wellness, weight loss, weight gain, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, fueling for exercise performance, GI issues, pre/post-surgical needs, and nutrition needs for pregnancy/breastfeeding. I’m excited to help my clients make realistic plans that can be maintained long-term by focusing on the foods you CAN eat while still incorporating fun foods in moderation.

Your first session with Nikole

During your first session, we will get to know each other by talking about a typical day for you. Do you eat 1 meal with snacks, 2 meals, 3 meals, etc.? Do you have food allergies or preferences we need to consider? Are you prepping for yourself or multiple people? I will also ask about any supplements or meal replacement products that you use to help assess for micronutrient deficiencies. We will start with small modifications and build from there vs making multiple large changes at once that could be overwhelming. Most importantly, I want to know what your goals are so we can develop a plan that is right for you.
