About Nina

As a Dietitian Nutritionist with decades of experience, and a former personal trainer, I have helped patients and clients manage or overcome their health conditions through education, coaching, and counseling. My specialties include diabetes, weight management, obesity, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, cancer, surgical recovery, gastrointestinal diagnoses, dysphagia, malnutrition, eating disorders bulimia, compulsive eating, emotional eating, substance use and abuse including alcohol, tube feeding, neurological disorders, fractures, trauma, food allergies, systemic inflammation, body building, pregnancy, lactation and pediatrics. I have personally experienced obesity, eating disorders, weight management, food allergies, substance use, trauma with fractures and surgeries, all making me better at helping others.

Approach to care

My practice delivers medical nutrition therapy in accord with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and evidence based outcomes. I blend psychology with nutrition lifestyles to create success. I examine your labs, meds, medical treatment, and relationship with food and family I do my best to empower you to attain your nutritional needs, goals and vision. I take a caring, compassionate approach with everyone.

Your first session with Nina

Having reviewed your intake paperwork and physician referral, we will connect and set expectations. We will converse so you can tell me what your condition entails, what you want to attain and your priorities, what your daily life is like, and the timeline we have to work together plus frequency of sessions. Be prepared to share social and work dynamics that impact your condition, eating, food availability and choices. We will discuss your obstacles and motivators and any past attempts to meet your needs.
