About Noelle
Noelle a.k.a. “Coach Elle Barebones” is an enthusiastic performance dietitian-nutritionist and fitness professional combining master-level credentials with 20 years of experience empowering clients to create healthy, active, and sustainable lifestyle behaviors that promote well-being and longevity, prevent disease, and optimize peak performance. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) board-certified as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), personal trainer (ACSM-CPT), and yoga teacher (RYT), her passion is coaching "Athletes in the Arts" and cultivating Performing Artists. Additionally, Noelle is a Wellcoaches Health and Well-being Coach (CHWC), to facilitate behavior change by addressing clients' self-determination and "Whole Person Health" with evidenced-based lifestyle choices.
Approach to care
Noelle offers a holistic “coach approach” of authenticity, non-judgement, empathy, kindness, and mindfulness to empower others along their journeys. She believes that the journey toward achieving any goal is the reward. Noelle developed her "being skills" by studying coaching psychology and working in a variety of settings, including human research labs, hospitals and healthcare clinics, universities, fitness gyms, an employee wellness center, and most recently a performing arts college program. She is highly trained in translating the science of Lifestyle Medicine into sustainable actionable steps, utilizing a Shared Decision-Making Process to support client autonomy and self-efficacy.

Be prepared to share! Noelle is an active listener seeking to understand your strengths, core values, motivations, and current circumstances. In your first session, you will create a Wellness Vision, long-term yearly goals, short-term monthly goals, and weekly actions steps pertaining to Hydration, Nutrition, Sleep, Movement, and Stress Management.

Education
Noelle earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Food Science, while earning championship titles as a Division I collegiate athlete and founding member of the West Virginia University Women’s Rowing Team (1999-2003). She successfully completed the dietetic internship and Master of Science degree program in Clinical Nutrition at Rush University in Chicago, IL and published a graduate thesis entitled “The interrelationships of weight status, body esteem and image, weight concern and breakfast consumption between Hispanic parents and their child" (2005).
Hobbies
Noelle enjoys traveling, rowing, paddle-boarding, open-water swimming, cycling, renovating properties, reading, studying Geology, painting, gardening, cooking with a "plant slant," and photographing the beauty of the present moment.
