About Pamela
Hi! My name is Pamela Moriarty, but you can call me Pam. I feel that our learning is never done, so its challenging for me to label myself an "expert", but with being in the field for over 17 years, I consider myself a "Jane of all trades, master of some"- namely, kidney, diabetes, GI, and heart health. I have had the gift of working in so many different settings ranging from clinical, fitness, and community health, and the one common thread I love is the connection that you build with someone, and the rewarding feeling of helping others and giving them the opportunity to see how amazing they are and what they are truly capable of achieving.
Approach to care
If I had to use one word, I would describe our work as a partnership. A resource of info to help you make informed decisions to set goals, someone to cheer you on, a support to troubleshoot when you need it most. I also believe that our parts of us work as one system, so I take a "whole body" approach to care, because often, its about more than just the food on our plates. Its our lifestyle, our connection to and history with food, our challenges, and our opportunities shaping the way we care for ourselves. We're on this health journey together, with you in the driver's seat. There are many ways to achieve the same goal, so let's navigate a path that aligns best with your needs!
Your first session with Pamela
From me: less talking, more listening and asking questions. From you: Your story! I'm here to get into your mindset and learn as much about you as I can! Namely, what led you here, your goals, what you've tried, and what you want to achieve for future you! From motivations, milestones and even challenges- we'll put it all out on the table, and use that as a guide to shape a plan that helps you achieve your goals, one step at a time.
