About Pamela
Hi! My name is Pamela Moriarty, but you can call me Pam. I feel that our learning is never done, so its challenging for me to label myself an "expert", but with being in the field for over 18 years, I consider myself a "Jane of all trades, master of some"- namely, kidney, diabetes, GI, and heart health. I have had the gift of working in so many different settings ranging from clinical, fitness, and community health, and the one common thread I love is the connections built with those I am working with. I feel so much joy watching people learn how to support themselves and succeed when they set their mind to a goal. Other things you may catch me doing when I am not online- running, rollerskating, and hiking with my partner and our 2 Huskies Ripley & June.
Approach to care
If I only had one word, I would describe our work as a partnership. Beyond just someone that educates on diet and exercise, I want to be that guide for you- whether you need support, someone to cheer you on, a listening ear to troubleshoot when you need it most. Our body and mind work in tandem, so I embrace a "whole body" approach to care- because often, its about more than just the food on our plates. Our lifestyle, our connection to and history with food, our challenges, and our opportunities all have a hand in shaping the way we care for ourselves. Working together, you are in the driver's seat, with my honor to be your informative (and slightly silly) nutrition navigator.
Your first session with Pamela
I'm all about learning your story, as its important to know where you have been and where you are now to be able to move forward in your goals. Our session may be full of questions, but also lots of education, active listening, and likely a little levity. You've already done the hardest work of showing up for yourself, so let's make it a comfortable journey in health together.
