About Paula

I am a Registered, Licensed Dietitian with with over 30 years of nutrition based work. I find counseling others, based on their unique needs, to achieve what holds them back from living a life that they find very happy and rewarding. If we feel healthy, confident in our skin, our minds it is all achievable. I do this with you through collaboration in a judgment-free, safe space to achieve your special dreams and goals. I am truly at a point in my life that I feel I can truly help others live a life that they find most fulfilling, through collaboration to achieve your dreams and goals. I find this the most rewarding and inspiring thing I can do at this point in my own life. I bring years of experience and continued growth in science based research to meet your special needs. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Northern Illinois University and my Masters in Health Care from St Louis University.

Approach to care

I will always take the time to listen and truly understand the depth of what has worked for you in the past and what has not. I will take the time to educate and help give you the tools to make sense of the overload of information that is out there in the world. Lear the "why's" of what may work best, to give you a knowledge based on how the body works and for you to be able to use this knowledge to gain the power to have continued success. We will work together to build your confidence and empower you to live your best life.

Your first session with Paula

I want to let you know first and foremost that this will be a supportive, judgment-free space where you will be encouraged to share openly. During our first session, we'll take the time to explore your unique goals, life style and any challenges you may be facing. We will review your medical history, current eating habits and any specific needs or concerns you might have. I will always take the time to listen and truly understand the depth of what your challenges are, how to best to deal with and overcome them. We'll look at what has worked for you in the past and what has not. We will work together to build your confidence and empower to make living your best life sustainable.

Hobbies

I love bringing old things back to life; especially old furniture, and pretty much anything from art to household items.
