About Paula
Hi there! I’m so happy you’ve clicked on my profile and I look forward to working together. I’ve been an RD for almost 17 years now, and I love to make eating well simple. I was born and raised in Europe, which strongly shapes how I see the role of food. My mother and I would shop every few days, buying only what we needed (this is why European fridges can be so small!). The food was always fresh, and there was very little waste. Meals were made with simple ingredients and never took long to prepare. Throughout my career I’ve treated many different clinical conditions (some of which are included in the list above) helping individuals like you feel better in your body while creating long-term health. In 2021, I decided to expand my skills further and trained to become a certified professional coach. This work is foundational to my mission—helping people reconnect with their bodies, their choices, and themselves.
Approach to care
I love making eating simple. I know how overwhelming it can feel to change the way you’ve been taught to eat. Eating doesn’t have to be complicated—and I can help you learn a different way. In addition to my years of clinical experience, I’ve also lived in many different countries so bring a deep understanding of different cultures and practices. Here’s my commitment to you: I will listen to you. I will help you make small changes that create meaningful impact. I will coach you. I will teach you. Most importantly, I will be your partner in this journey.
Your first session with Paula
My most important goal in this first session is simply to get to know YOU— Your medical history. Your goals and priorities in working with an RD. The challenges that make those goals feel tricky. Your habits and daily rhythms. And your mindset and readiness. We’ll explore what success looks like and how we can shape it in a way that naturally fits into your life. You’ll start to see how nutrition can support your health, and together we’ll begin building the foundation for a plan that works for you long-term.
Education
Bachelor of Arts in Economics; Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics; Master of Science in Nutrition; ICF Coach Training
Hobbies
I live in Montana, so being outdoors is a big part of my life—I love the mountains, the rivers, and the wide-open skies. I also love to read, enjoy good food and wine (especially since my oldest son is a sommelier!), and soak up the warmth of good company and community. Every summer I make my way back to Europe, and recently I’ve been spending more time in my father’s village in Croatia, reconnecting with my roots and the rhythms of life there.
