About Philip

My own journey with weight loss has made me the dietitian I am today. Starting in 2015, after a deep vein thrombosis (blood clot), I delved into nutrition and began what has now become a fascination with nutrition as medicine. After losing nearly 200 lbs., I decided I wanted to share my experiences with others and help to prevent nutrition-related chronic conditions preemptively. Since then, I have completed a degree in dietetics, an internship, been working in Primary Care as a Clinical Dietitian for 4 years, completed a Master's program, and am transitioning to our Bariatric Clinic where I will be largely working with patients fighting obesity and considering weight loss surgery. My past 4 years have given me experience in working successfully with patients diagnosed with (but not limited to): Diabetes Mellitus (1&2); Hypertension; Hyperlipidemia; Auto-immune disease; Food Allergies; MTHFR; Fatty Liver; GERD and many more.

Approach to care

Rooted in providing personalized, evidence-based nutrition guidance. Using the NCP (Nutrition Care Process) I assess; diagnose; intervene; monitor and evaluate while tailoring a plan to address identified problems and adjust as needed to achieve measured outcomes.

Your first session with Philip

In my first session with patients, I prioritize understanding each individual patient's needs, preferences, circumstances, and emphasize collaborative goal setting, while empowering clients to make their own informed decisions about their nutrition.
