About Precious
Hi! My name is Precious Epeagba. I am a registered dietitian with both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). As a Nigerian-American, who grew up in Alabama in a big family, Iâve always understood the deep connection between food, culture, and community. Over the years, Iâve had the privilege of working in a variety of settingsâfrom supporting individuals in residential eating disorder treatment to helping those living with kidney disease navigate their nutrition needs. My approach is compassionate, individualized, and rooted in evidence-based care, with the goal of empowering clients to make lasting, meaningful changes to their health and well-being.
Approach to care
My approach to care is compassionate and honest, grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe that every personâs health journey is unique, so I take the time to cater to each patientâs needs, goals, and values when creating their treatment plan. I see my role as a guide and partnerâoffering expert nutrition knowledge while allowing the patient to lead the way.
Your first session with Precious
In your first session, definitely expect to do more of the talking. Haha! In our first session, my priority is getting to know youâyour health history, lifestyle, and most importantly, your goals. Youâll have the opportunity to share what matters most to you, and together weâll talk through your priorities, challenges, and hopes for your health.
