About Rachael

Hi, I'm Rachael. With 30 years as a Registered Dietitian, I bring a deep, practical grasp of nutrition to every patient. I earned a BS in Nutrition, a BS in Exercise Science, and MS degrees in Exercise Physiology and Human Nutrition, and I trained as a Physician Assistant. My career spans clinical care, private practice, and sports nutrition, and I currently work in Endocrinology with an emphasis on weight-management and Diabetes. When I’m not caring for patients, you’ll find me weight training, hiking, cycling, or planning my next international trip. I’m glad you’re here.

Approach to care

My care is grounded in science and compassion. I practice evidence-based, educational nutrition care and work with you in a collaborative, no-pressure way. We'll set clear, actionable steps and track progress together, prioritizing sustainable change over quick fixes. I value a weight-neutral HAES-informed lens, focusing on behaviors and wellbeing rather than a number on a scale. I treat you as a whole person, considering sleep, stress, activity, and goals. My aim is lasting health you can maintain long term.

Your first session with Rachael

Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history and lab results, complete a Nutrition Assessment, and set individualized goals to improve your nutrition and overall well-being. We'll establish short-term steps and explore how your daily routines, preferences, and life context fit those goals. There’s no need to have it all figured out before we meet; I’m here to listen, answer questions, and tailor a plan that feels achievable and supportive as we move forward together.
