About Rachael
Hi, I'm Rachael, a Registered Dietitian Shasta Lake, Ca. I earned my MS in Nutrition Science from Illinois State University and hold the RDN credential. I bring a year of experience across clinical and hospital settings, plus community health. In my spare time I love cooking, crafting, and exploring Renaissance faires. Nutrition to me is personal, not a one size fits all plan, and I’m grateful to help people find sustainable changes that fit their life and values.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is simple and human: we use evidence-based nutrition as a foundation, but the plan is shaped by you. I’m empathetic and warm, and I keep a judgment-free space where you feel seen and heard. We’ll work together toward practical, doable steps that fit your life today and tomorrow. I practice through a Health At Every Size lens, focusing on behaviors and well being rather than weight alone. I also value education, so you leave each session with clearer reasoning and tools you can apply.
Your first session with Rachael
From our first visit, our priority is you. Our conversation is collaborative, not evaluative. We’ll review your medical history and lab work or biometrics when available, and I’ll listen to where you’re at, your goals, and what has or hasn’t worked before. You don’t need to have everything mapped out. We’ll set 1-2 realistic first steps and outline a flexible path we can adjust as we learn what works for your body and life. No pressure, just support as we begin.
