About Rachel
I've been a registered dietitian for a little more than six years. I have my certification in specialty for gerontology. I grew up being very active, from doing gymnastics, ice skating, and taking dance classes. I was never a healthy eater growing up. I would be called the "cheese queen" at home as I loved eating cheese, popcorn, and any unhealthy food I could get my hands on. I've tried diets, but soon learned that food should not be feared, and it's important to include all food groups in your diet in moderation. Through several life experiences, I have learned about gluten-free diets, autoimmune diseases, high cholesterol, heart disease, and a variety of other chronic health conditions.
Approach to care
I like to keep a judgement free zone. It's important that the client feels safe to discuss any feelings that may occur around food.
Your first session with Rachel
During the first session, we will get to know each other, discuss why you reached out for nutrition counseling, and discuss your goals and potential barriers.
