About Rachel

Rachel is a kind and compassionate dietitian. What started as a love for cooking and food at a young age, has now grown into a passion for health and wellness. She has experience counseling clients with emphasis on gastrointestinal disorders, postoperative gastrointestinal surgery, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, new and existing colostomy/ileostomy, End Stage Renal Disease/Chronic Kidney Disease, Diabetes, Oncology, Cirrhosis, weight management, etc. Rachel meets clients where they are and is dedicated to providing the knowledge and skills needed to meet their nutritional goals, no matter how big or small!

Approach to care

Rachel's utilizes a patient-centered care approach when working with clients, supported by evidenced based practices and collaboration. This involves the client being at the center of their care, which allows them the ability to have the main say in how care is received and provided by her. In a world where most individuals are provided with an end goal and little to no guidance on how to achieve it, Rachel approaches her clients with respect and supports decisions along their health journey. She provides her clients with guidance and tools needed to sustain long-term results.

Your first session with Rachel

During your first session, you can expect to be greeted with a kind environment and a smile. I understand the importance of providing a welcoming and nonjudgemental space where clients feel comfortable voicing their needs. The first session will also include open discussion regarding your past medical history, current eating habits (including food preferences, cultural influences, and beliefs surrounding food), lifestyle routines, and health goals. Using the information, I can begin to provide strategies, set short-term and long-term goals, and lay the groundwork for a strong path to success as you achieve your goals!
