About Rachel
Welcome to my profile! I have been a practicing dietitian since 2008. I am originally from Kansas City, Missouri, but moved to Tucson, Arizona to attend college at the University of Arizona. I lived in Tucson for 22 years, and now live in Erie, Colorado with my two cats, Emy and Luna. I worked for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program for 12 years until I decided to switch gears in 2020 and went back to college. While I did pivot my career direction, my core approach to care hasn't changed. I'm anti-fad diet and foster a judgement-free zone in order to help people both improve their health and still eat the foods the enjoy.
Approach to care
I use the Intuitive Eating approach to care. I believe no food is off limits, and instead will work with you to develop a diet that works for you, where you can both meet your nutrition goals and enjoy the food you eat.
Your first session with Rachel
During your first session, we will start off by discussing what your nutrition goals are. Then I will get some background information on your medical history and any medications you're taking, as well as a nutrition and diet history. Finally, we'll problem solve together to develop a plan to help you reach those nutrition goals.
