About Rachel

I’m Rachel Fischler, a registered dietitian serving clients in the New York and New Jersey area. I believe nutrition should feel realistic, supportive, and empowering, not overwhelming or restrictive. I work with individuals on weight management, blood sugar control, heart health, cholesterol management, digestive health, and overall wellness, using evidence-based strategies that fit into real life. My goal is to help you feel confident and informed while making changes that support your long-term health.

Approach to care

My approach is collaborative, personalized, and judgment-free. I take the time to understand your medical history, lifestyle, and goals so we can create a nutrition plan that feels achievable and sustainable. Rather than focusing on quick fixes or rigid rules, I emphasize balance, flexibility, and consistency. My counseling style is supportive and encouraging. I meet you where you are and work with you step by step to build healthier habits, practical routines, and confidence around food so you can make meaningful changes that last.

Your first session with Rachel

Your first session is about getting to know you. We’ll talk about your health history, daily routine, eating habits, and what’s been feeling challenging or confusing around nutrition. You can share your goals, concerns, and anything that has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. By the end of our session, we’ll identify a few realistic, manageable steps you can start right away. This might include simple food swaps, meal ideas, or strategies to support blood sugar control, heart health, digestion, or weight management. My goal is for you to leave feeling supported, informed, and empowered.
