About Rachel
I am a practicing registered dietitian in Connecticut who began my career working as a clinical dietitian in the traditional healthcare model until desiring a shift into the preventative healthcare space where I could make a bigger impact. I am experienced in guiding patients with nutritional and lifestyle changes including using well-formulated, personalized ketogenic diets as tools for successful weight loss and maintenance, reversal of pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes, improved glycemic control in type 1 diabetes, and gut health. My journey with debilitating gastrointestinal issues that could not be resolved by conventional medicine motivated me to dig deep into nutritional science, determined to get my health back. My passion is to help others obtain the health they desire and reverse chronic metabolic conditions.
Approach to care
I have a patient-centered and collaborative approach to care. We will work together to reach your nutrition and health goals. I love the science of nutrition as I think it is so helpful to understand the changes we are making and will teach as much of it as you would like to learn!
Your first session with Rachel
In the first session, we will get to know each other and review all pertinent medical and nutrition histories. I'll get to know your goals and priorities through the session, and then we will discuss a plan and the best place to start. Please feel free to bring any questions and let me know if you have tried any nutritional approaches in the past that were either helpful or unhelpful and we will jump in!
