About Rachel

Hi, I’m Rachel—a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, LDN) with a passion for helping people feel more at home in their bodies. I’ve worked in outpatient care, bariatric counseling, and telehealth, and I bring both clinical expertise and real-life empathy to every session. I currently practice at Rush, where I support clients navigating everything from post-op recovery to long-term lifestyle changes. My goal is to make nutrition feel less overwhelming and more doable—one step at a time.

Approach to care

I believe nutrition should support your life, not control it. My approach is rooted in science, but also in listening. I take time to understand your goals, your challenges, and what’s actually realistic for you. Whether we’re talking about meal planning, emotional eating, or metabolic health, I’ll meet you where you are—with zero judgment and plenty of clarity. I focus on sustainable changes, not quick fixes, and I’ll always tailor recommendations to your unique needs and preferences.

Your first session with Rachel

Our first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk through your health history, current habits, and what you’re hoping to get out of nutrition counseling. You don’t need to prep anything fancy—just bring yourself. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and help you set realistic goals that feel aligned with your life. You’ll leave with a clear plan and a sense of what working together will look like moving forward.

Location

šŸ“ Chicago, Illinois

Education

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from Rush University, a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Kansas State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. This multidisciplinary background supports my evidence-based, patient-centered approach to care.

Hobbies

Outside of work, I’m a curious foodie on a mission to make every bite count. I love diving into local flavors and uncovering the stories behind them—whether I’m whipping up something new in my kitchen or tracking down hidden gems while traveling. Recipe testing is my idea of fun, and I get a weird amount of joy from building meal plans that actually work in real life (yes, even on busy weeks). I’m all about stretching a grocery budget without sacrificing flavor—because good food should be smart and satisfying.
