About Rachel
Hi, Iām Rachelāa Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, LDN) with a passion for helping people feel more at home in their bodies. Iāve worked in outpatient care, bariatric counseling, and telehealth, and I bring both clinical expertise and real-life empathy to every session. I currently practice at Rush, where I support clients navigating everything from post-op recovery to long-term lifestyle changes. My goal is to make nutrition feel less overwhelming and more doableāone step at a time.
Approach to care
I believe nutrition should support your life, not control it. My approach is rooted in science, but also in listening. I take time to understand your goals, your challenges, and whatās actually realistic for you. Whether weāre talking about meal planning, emotional eating, or metabolic health, Iāll meet you where you areāwith zero judgment and plenty of clarity. I focus on sustainable changes, not quick fixes, and Iāll always tailor recommendations to your unique needs and preferences.
Your first session with Rachel
Our first session is all about getting to know you. Weāll talk through your health history, current habits, and what youāre hoping to get out of nutrition counseling. You donāt need to prep anything fancyājust bring yourself. Iāll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and help you set realistic goals that feel aligned with your life. Youāll leave with a clear plan and a sense of what working together will look like moving forward.
Location
š Chicago, Illinois
Education
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from Rush University, a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Kansas State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. This multidisciplinary background supports my evidence-based, patient-centered approach to care.
Hobbies
Outside of work, Iām a curious foodie on a mission to make every bite count. I love diving into local flavors and uncovering the stories behind themāwhether Iām whipping up something new in my kitchen or tracking down hidden gems while traveling. Recipe testing is my idea of fun, and I get a weird amount of joy from building meal plans that actually work in real life (yes, even on busy weeks). Iām all about stretching a grocery budget without sacrificing flavorābecause good food should be smart and satisfying.
