About Rachel
Hello! It's nice to meet you, my name is Rachel. I'm a licensed registered dietitian in Utah and Texas. I have a background in cancer nursing, which led to a passion for preventative and holistic health. My specialities are weight management, weight loss medications, diabetes, heart health, and disordered and emotional eating.
Approach to care
I promote gentle nutrition rather than rigid. I believe a healthy relationship to food involves honoring both your health and your taste buds with your food choices. Intuitive eating is very influential in my approach, but I make sure to tailor my approach based on the client and what's worked and not worked for them in the past. I like to help clients heal from diet culture, while also supporting them in the health goals they want to achieve. I like to help client practice healthier eating habits with the goal of honoring their health. This is going to look a little different for everyone, as health goals are personal and specific to you.
Your first session with Rachel
First we'll define your health goals and why they're meaningful to you. Together we'll figure out what's worked and hasn't worked in the past and then come up with strategies to make progress on your health goals going forward. Health is a lifelong practice, so I like to help clients find strategies that are practical and sustainable rather than another quick fix or another diet that's failed you.
