About Rae Ann

Hi! I’m Rae, a weight-neutral, anti-diet registered dietitian based in Colorado with 6 years of experience working in outpatient counseling settings. I’m passionate about helping people heal their relationship with food and body in a world obsessed with thinness and full of nutrition misinformation. Having overcome 13 years of disordered eating, I understand how overwhelming it can feel. I strive to create a warm, judgment-free space for my clients. I especially enjoy supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum when body changes can feel particularly challenging. My goal is to help you learn to trust your body, find peace with food, and improve health outcomes. Aside from my work as a dietitian, I am a mom, wife, artist, and I love food, fishing, hiking and pretty much anything else outdoors.

Approach to care

I’m a Health at Every Size® aligned dietitian, which means our work focuses on health-supporting habits and not the number on the scale. I’ll meet you wherever you are, whether you’re navigating an eating disorder, struggling with disordered eating, or feeling disheartened from years of dieting. Moving away from diet culture isn’t quick or linear, and you don’t have to do it alone. I aim to create a space that feels safe and supportive, like talking to a friend. Together, we’ll explore your relationship with food and your body, use tools like Intuitive Eating, and gently reject the messages diet culture has taught you. I believe that everyone deserves to feel at peace with food and their bodies.

Your first session with Rae Ann

My goal with our first session is to get to know you first and foremost. We’ll talk about your values and passions, relationship and behaviors around food, lifestyle, and medical history. I will likely order lab work as well. From there, we’ll begin creating a plan centered around healing, starting with small, realistic steps that support you in feeling more at ease with food and your body. Depending on your diagnosis, I typically coordinate care with your therapist and primary care provider. My ultimate goal is for you to leave each session feeling supported, excited and empowered to move forward!
