About Rebecca
Hi, I'm Becky, and I've been an RD/RDN for (I can't believe it myself) just over 20 years now! I am also a nationally board-certified health coach (NBC-HWC) through the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching since 2020, though I have been coaching people across all aspects of health since I started my career in 2005. I have been an athlete my entire life, which means I believe strongly in physical activity being a part of an overall healthy lifestyle, as well, and I love to talk about exercise just as much as nutrition! My biggest athletic accomplishments are playing professional women's (American) football from 2009-2014, earning offensive rookie of the year, and then team MVP in 2013 as well as making the All-American team as a tight end that same year as part of the WFA (Women's Football Alliance). I am a huge proponent of using solid nutrition practices to improve athletic performance.
Approach to care
Every single person is a unique individual which means I will treat you as such! I am a non-diet Dietitian because there is no "one-size-fits-all" when it comes to nutrition and the ways that we eat. My goal is always to help you find what works for you: to help feel you best and to ensure the changes you make feel sustainable for the long-term. Consistency is key with any new habit, so starting small with 1-2 changes that feel doable and focusing on making those a regular part of your routine is typically where I love to begin. I enjoy providing education where it's needed, but I also trust that you know yourself best and will never push you to make changes that don't feel realistic for you - I will meet you where you're at and we will go from there. Creating 1 new healthy habit is the first stepping stone on the path to lifelong wellness!
Your first session with Rebecca
In your first session, I want to get to know you, your goals, and your motivations, as well as what has and has not worked for you in the past in relation to making healthier lifestyle changes. We'll discuss behavior change and setting S.M.A.R.T. goals. Expect a lot of questions and digging deeper into the "why" behind your reasons for change. We'll focus on setting just 1 or 2 achievable action steps you can take prior to our second session to help you build confidence for future steps!
