About Rebecca
Hi, I'm Rebecca, a Registered Dietitian with a wide-ranging background in nutrition, public health, and food. I’ve worked as a line cook, a clinical dietitian, an adjunct professor, and even a Naloxone trainer, and each of these roles has shaped my approach to public health. I’m passionate about how our communities, experiences, and education influence our health and well-being. I believe in the power of individuality as a way to promote our healing — when we are able to be our authentic selves and live for who we are we will make dramatic change for ourselves and the world around us. For me, nutrition isn’t just about what you eat, but how you connect with yourself and the world around you.
Approach to care
My approach combines evidence-based nutrition with an understanding of the complexities in research. I meet you where you are, recognizing your unique experiences and challenges. Together, we’ll work toward a balanced, enjoyable relationship with food that’s sustainable long-term. I focus on setting realistic, small goals that prioritize health and enjoyment over rigid rules. Healthy eating should be delicious and joyful, not a burden. Whether you're looking to improve your nutrition, manage a health concern, or feel more confident in your food choices, I tailor my guidance to fit your needs, helping you build self-compassion and a positive relationship with food.
Your first session with Rebecca
The first session is a deep dive into you! What you want to work on, what you've experience, what is currently going on, and anything else that is relevant to your success. The first session lasts about 1 hour. It gives us plenty of time to have a relaxed and thorough conversation - no judgement, no pressure. There is no need for you to come prepared with anything, but if you have recent lab work, a list of medications, or even a food diary, feel free to bring it to discuss. Follow-up sessions are built upon what we discuss during the initial appointment so be yourself and adapt as needed in our future sessions together!
