About Regina

Hey there! My name is Regina but you can call me Gina. I come from a small, rural town in northern Minnesota. I am very lucky to live at home with my husband and two dogs. I love to eat my husband's cooking, hike, garden, play with my dogs, spend time with family, and watch good movies or shows! I have been a Registered Dietitian since 2018. I have worked in a variety of settings such as inpatient and outpatient care, renal nutrition, bariatric, weight loss, and more.

Approach to care

Nutrition education is something that I have always felt very strongly that every person needs, though many do not receive. To me, it’s an essential component of understanding how to take care of your body for a healthy life. Nutritional needs are unique to each person and can be impacted by every aspect of their life. I think it's important to remember that there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to diet. It's important to use understanding and empathy for each individual to determine what their barriers and needs may be to reach their goal or to improve their health.

Your first session with Regina

In our first session we will start with introductions. I like to get to know a little about you and what your day to day life looks like! Then we will talk about why you've chosen to use Nourish and see a dietitian. What's your goal? What is it that you want to change in your diet or lifestyle around nutrition? We will also go through a food recall, reviewing some of your most recent meals and what foods you like to eat. Before we end, we'll pick one or two things you'd like to work on before our next session.
