About Rickelle

Hi! I’m Rickelle, a dietitian with 10+ years of experience in medical nutrition therapy and sports performance nutrition. I help active adults and athletes fuel their bodies to feel better, perform better, and build habits that last. I work with endurance athletes, high school and college athletes, and adults seeking customized macros coaching for performance, body composition, or health goals. I also support clients with complex health needs including autoimmune conditions, hypothyroidism, histamine intolerance, CSID, insulin resistance, high cholesterol, CKD, hormonal imbalances, gut health concerns, and GLP-1 use. As a former competitive athlete and mom of two very active boys, I understand balancing busy schedules with sustainable nutrition and lifestyle habits. If you’re looking for personalized, realistic nutrition guidance that supports performance and long-term health, I’d love to support you.

Approach to care

My approach to care is personalized, habit-focused, and centered on long-term progress and identifying root causes.. Individualized care: I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll work together to develop nutrition strategies that align with your goals, preferences, training demands, lifestyle, and medical needs. Beyond the scale: I encourage focusing less on body weight and more on habits, performance, energy levels, symptoms, and relevant health markers. Progress is measured in many more ways than just the number on the scale. Sustainable, long-term change: Meaningful results take time. We’ll build and adjust habits gradually to ensure they are realistic, effective, and maintainable—so your progress lasts beyond our sessions. Root-cause focused: I take the time to dig deeper into symptoms and concerns. Identifying and addressing underlying causes is essential for improving health, performance, and overall well-being.

Your first session with Rickelle

During the first session, we’ll review your medical and dietary history, current nutrition and lifestyle habits, goals, challenges, and—if applicable—your athletic background and training demands. We’ll also discuss what you’ve tried in the past and what has or hasn’t worked. While this session may feel more focused on assessment than immediate action, it’s essential for creating a personalized and effective plan. We’ll outline a big-picture strategy and set 1–3 initial goals to work on over the first 1–2 weeks. For optimal results, nutrition therapy and coaching are most effective as an ongoing process. Most patients benefit from meeting consistently over the first 3–6 months as goals, training demands, and health needs evolve. This approach prioritizes consistency and long-term progress over quick fixes, and works best with a commitment to ongoing care.
