Hi, Iām Risa! Iām a Registered Dietitian with 7 years of experience helping people improve their health through practical, personalized nutrition. My journey into the world of nutrition began during my global studies courses, where I learned about rates of childhood malnutrition around the worl. While completing my Master of Public Health, I came to understand that the U.S. faces its own serious nutrition-related challengesāand that discovery shifted my focus to helping individuals and communities here at home. Over the years, Iāve had the privilege of working with adults from diverse backgrounds and life stages. I specialize in supporting those managing chronic conditions like kidney disease, heart disease, and liver disease. My approach is rooted in compassion, evidence-based care, and the belief that small, sustainable changes can make a big difference.

Your first session with Risa
In our first session, weāll take some time to get to know each other and start building a trusting, comfortable connection. Weāll talk about what brought you to nutrition counseling and what youāre hoping to get out of it. Iāll also ask about your medical and family history, current eating habits, food preferences, allergies, lifestyle, and anything else thatās important to youālike cultural or personal values around food. From there, weāll work together to create a plan that feels realistic, sustainable, and tailored to your goals.
