About Roselyn
Hi, I'm Rozz! My career started in community nutrition education which gave me the privilege of working with people from diverse backgrounds. This had shaped my foundation as a dietitian to understand first hand how our environment, culture, and access to food shape our health beliefs. Honoring the deeply personal and cultural context of my client's lives is of the utmost importance in my practice. I specialize in navigating my clients through complex connections between health, nutrition, culture, behavior, obesity, and related conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure, as well as menopause and other hormonally influenced conditions, like PCOS. In the past three years, I've successfully guided bariatric surgery patients through their health journey, both before and long-term after their weight-loss procedure, including helping them understand the world of weight loss medication.
Approach to care
Compassionate, practical, and person-centered care is what I strive for. Rather than quick fixes, I hope to help you build realistic and sustainable habits that support your goals, respect your body, honor your lived expediency, and fit into your busy life. Whether youâre navigating a health condition or simply trying to feel better in your skin, weâll move at a pace that feels right for youâwith honesty, support, and zero judgment.
Your first session with Roselyn
The first time we meet, Iâll take time to get to know your story, explore any challenges youâve faced along the way, and understand your health goals. We can then discuss realistic expectations and begin building a personalized plan that feels manageable and meaningful for you. If you're not sure where to start, we can begin with the basics that are most important to you. These could be sleep, hydration, fueling your body or finding ways to move your body that feel good to you. Such foundational habits often have the biggest impactânot just on your physical health, but also on your mental health.
