About Sabra
Hello! My name is Sabra Lowe and I have been a dietitian for over 20 years. I grew up as an extremely picky eater in a rural area, where mom would often sneak me peanut butter and jelly sandwiches when daddy wasn't looking. I was born with a passion for the performing arts, but my poor eating habits did not fuel my mind or body well. Adolescence was challenging with self-image concerns and undiagnosed PCOS. My teenage self made a commitment to learn as much as possible about how to accept myself for what I could do, my flaws and all. Whether I cook from scratch, meet my protein goal for the day, or enjoy a good night's rest, I can still have a healthy lifestyle. I aim for 80% right, because I can run off the road just like anyone else. I have a busy life with a spouse and two teenagers and currently on the perimenopause train. I would love for you to hop aboard and allow me to help find your best self.
Approach to care
With grace and humor, I personalize each treatment plan to the patient. Honesty is all I ask. I work to build a strong foundation for you to build on. The foundation will allow for the imperfections any structure has. We will rank habits and preferences to help you understand what helps and hurts you most. Regardless of the size of your town, your ability to cook, or your history with gym memberships, I can help! It will be about me meeting you where you are today!
Your first session with Sabra
A casual conversation to help us get to know each other. Your medical history, gut health, and personal concerns are included in this initial session. We develop a daily template together that will be your foundation. The template will include when and what to eat, easy ideas to work for your lifestyle, and include the times for your medications, supplements, and vitamins. My goal is for you to leave motivated, excited, and comfortable with starting your new lifestyle.
