About Sahara
Hi, I'm Sahara, a Registered Dietitian with 12 years of experience, based in Brooklyn, New York. I earned my bachelorās and masterās degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of North Florida and completed the Dietetic Internship through the Florida Department of Health. My career has taken me from hospital and clinical settings to private practice. I bring an evidence-based, empathetic approach to every client. I carry MS, CNSC, LDN, and RDN credentials with pride, and I love turning science into practical steps people can actually use. Outside the office, you'll find me playing drums, learning French, chasing murals around Brooklyn, and enjoying a good latte. I'm excited to get to know you and support your health journey.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is built on collaboration, science, and lasting change. I draw on current nutrition evidence to guide our plan while honoring who you are, how you live, and what you value. We'll explore your relationship with food, daily routines, sleep, stress, and emotions, then translate that into clear actions you can stick with. I practice a weight neutral, holistic approach that prioritizes health at every size and avoids diet culture. Together we'll set realistic goals, celebrate progress, and build sustainable habits that grow with you over time.
Your first session with Sahara
Our first appointment is a warm, low pressure conversation centered on you. We'll review your medical history, talk through your current eating patterns, and establish 1 to 3 short-term goals that feel doable. We'll also look at any lab work or biometrics you have and translate what they mean into practical steps you can act on this week. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet; we'll meet you where you are and move forward together. By the end, you'll have a clear sense of the path we'll take next.
