Hi! I'm married with no kids yet, but my house is crowded with 4 cats. My journey with nutrition started as a teenager, after I crossed the 300-pound mark and realized I couldnât squeeze into half my clothes anymore. At first, I didnât exactly have the healthiest approach; I got caught up in restriction and obsession. But over time, that struggle turned into a healthier relationship with food and a genuine passion for the science of nutrition. Food and nutrition have become barbed-wire topics, tangled with trends, conflicting opinions, and misinformation. Iâm passionate about cutting through that noise to make nutrition simple, practical, and sustainable for the people I work with. My goal is always to help others feel better, live healthier, and understand that eating well doesnât have to be complicated or overwhelming.
Approach to care
Before joining Nourish, I worked as a fitness coach, online nutrition coach, and inpatient clinical dietitian, so I understand how food choices can affect both everyday energy and long-term health. I take an evidence-based, client-first approach, meaning your goals, preferences, and lifestyle will always shape the plan we build together. Whether you're navigating a chronic condition, trying to build better habits, or just want to feel more confident in your choices, I'm here to help you make progress that lasts.
Your first session with Sam
Our first session is all about getting to know you. Weâll talk through your goals, medical history, current habits, and anything you feel is important to share. No judgment, just a real conversation about where you are now and where youâd like to be. Iâll ask some questions, listen closely, and start building a plan that fits your lifestyle. You wonât leave with a strict meal plan, but you will leave with a few practical steps to start moving in the right direction.
