About Samantha
I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 8 years now. I graduated from Ohio University in 2016 with honors and an accredited Diabetes certificate. Following graduation, I completed my dietetic internship at MetroHealth in Cleveland. I have worked in the clinical setting since completing my dietetic internship and have strong experience in diabetes, nutrition support, hypertension, and more.
Approach to care
I take a weight-neutral approach to care by default (though I will of course keep your weight goals in mind if that is a priority for you personally), and focus more on incorporating healthy habits, improving overall health, and helping you to meet your goals. I believe honing in on the areas where we can make the biggest impact rather than trying to change a majority of your habits at once will help set you up for success.
Your first session with Samantha
In your first session, we will review your goals, what brought you to me, what you have already tried, and what you are currently doing. We will discuss 2 or 3 changes you can make before our next session to maintain focus and prevent overwhelm. I will also answer any questions you may have for me about my education, experience, or approach to care.
