About Samantha

Hi, I’m Sam! I’m a registered dietitian and nutrition professor passionate about helping people connect nutrition science to everyday life. With experience in teaching and clinical practice, I translate complex topics into simple, practical strategies that inspire lasting change. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Delaware and am completing my doctorate at Rowan University. My approach is rooted in integrative and functional nutrition, addressing the whole person and the root causes of imbalance rather than just symptoms. I also specialize in pediatric and maternal nutrition. Before higher education, I worked as a K–12 school nutrition coordinator, where I saw how food impacts learning, behavior, and well-being. I now teach lifecycle nutrition and support children and families with picky eating, ARFID, growth, food allergies, and sports nutrition, helping create balanced, realistic meal routines.

My approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and highly personalized. I believe nutrition should feel supportive, not stressful, and that small, consistent habits make the biggest difference over time. We will look at how factors like sleep, stress, digestion, and lifestyle interact with your nutrition choices to shape overall health. You can expect a blend of education and coaching in our sessions. I want you to feel informed and confident, understanding both what to do and why it works. My counseling style is warm, non-judgmental, and rooted in curiosity. I’ll help you explore what’s working, what’s not, and how we can make nutrition sustainable and meaningful for you. When working with children and families, I focus on developmentally appropriate strategies that encourage healthy growth patterns, reduce mealtime stress, and build long - term nutrition confidence. I take a gentle and realistic approach that helps parents feel confident in supporting their child's nutrition needs.

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss your goals, lifestyle, health history, and daily routines. I’ll listen closely to understand your challenges and priorities so that your care plan truly reflects your needs. You’ll leave the session with personalized, actionable steps to start implementing right away. I am pro - personalized nutrition - no generic meal plans or one-size-fits-all advice. We’ll identify simple, achievable changes that move you toward your long-term goals, setting the foundation for ongoing support and progress over time.
