About Samantha
Hi! My name is Samantha Russomano and I am a Registered Dietitian. I had a roundabout path to becoming a dietitian- I actually started my professional career as a middle school special education teacher and coach. After 7 years in the public school setting, I decided my passion lay in health and wellness and that I could better serve others if I could teach them about nutrition. Now as a Registered Dietitian, I am still drawing on many of the skills I learned through teaching: communication, compassion, and creativity, but I am also living my dream!
Approach to care
My approach to care is highly individualized and is patient/client centered. I believe health does not occur in a vacuum, so why should your care? As a Dietitian, I know that factors contributing to overall wellness include nutrition (yes!), but also physical activity, stress, and sleep! I believe in a well rounded approach that is realistic and sustainable for my clients.
Your first session with Samantha
In our first session you can expect a calm, stress free environment, and to be greeted always with a smile! The first session is where I will get to know you, you daily routines, and to understand your goals. I can't sugar coat it, there will be a lot of questions in our first session! But all in an effort to provide you with the best, most individualized care that will work for you!
