About Samantha
Hi! I’m Sammi, a New York City–based registered dietitian with a passion for pediatric nutrition and supporting children and families through all life stages. I began my career as an inpatient pediatric dietitian, where I worked with a wide range of patients and developed a strong foundation in clinical care alongside a community-based, family-centered approach. In our sessions, we’ll discuss your goals and find realistic, sustainable ways to support you or your child in daily life. Whether you’re navigating breastfeeding, transitioning to formula, starting solids, picky eating, tube feeding, living with celiac disease, understanding lab results, or coping with the nutrition challenges that can come with a new cancer diagnosis, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here to offer guidance, reassurance, and compassionate support every step of the way.
Approach to care
Nutrition is not a one-size-fits-all science and I strive to meet every child and family exactly where they are. I take a collaborative, family-centered approach, working with you to understand your child’s needs, routines, and goals. Together, we focus on realistic strategies and making changes that are manageable, sustainable and fit into you real life. My care is evidence-based and compassionate - whether we’re building feeding confidence, navigating medical nutrition needs, or simply helping things feel less stressful around food, my goal is to help families feel informed, supported, and empowered. Above all, I strive to create a calm and encouraging environment where you feel heard, understood, and confident in the path forward.
Your first session with Samantha
Our first session is all about getting to know you and your child. We’ll talk through nutrition history, current feeding concerns, and your goals, and explore what support might feel most helpful right now. I’ll also take time to understand your learning and communication style so our work together feels comfortable and collaborative. We’ll chat about daily routines, family life, and your child’s interests so we can create realistic goals that fit naturally into your lifestyle. This first visit is a space to ask questions, feel heard, and begin building a plan that feels supportive and doable.
