About Sandy
Hi, I’m Sandy! I’m a Registered Dietitian who believes that food should feel nourishing—not stressful. My journey to becoming an RD is personal. At one point in my life, I struggled with my own relationship with food and didn’t fully understand the complexities of nutrition and diet culture. That experience is what sparked my passion for helping others find clarity, balance, and confidence with food. Professionally, I’ve worked in an inpatient hospital setting caring for patients in critical conditions, and most recently with geriatric patients, guiding them toward sustainable and healthy eating patterns. These experiences have shaped my compassionate, individualized approach to nutrition. My goal is to help you develop a healthier relationship with food—one where you feel comfortable, confident, and supported in the choices you make. Together, we’ll focus on building habits that work for your life, without judgment or restriction.
Approach to care
I believe nutrition care should feel supportive, approachable, and free of judgment. Food is more than nutrients, it’s deeply connected to our experiences, health, and emotions. My goal is to help clients feel more at ease with food while building confidence in their eating choices. Because of my own journey with healing my relationship with food, I meet clients with empathy and understanding. Together, we’ll work on developing a healthier relationship with food—one that feels balanced, flexible, and supportive of your life.
Your first session with Sandy
Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about your relationship with food, your health history, and what brings you to nutrition counseling. This is a judgment-free space where there’s no “perfect” way to eat and no pressure to change everything at once. We’ll work together to better understand your goals and how I can best support you in reaching them. I’ll take time to learn about your preferences, experiences, and any challenges you’ve faced with food, so we can begin creating a personalized plan that feels realistic and supportive of your life. You can expect open conversation, thoughtful guidance, and a collaborative approach—so you leave feeling heard, supported, and confident about next steps.
