About Sara
Hi, I'm Sara! I'm a Registered & Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist with 17+ years experience specializing in Weight Management, Diabetes, Emotional Eating, and Vegan/Vegetarian/Pescatarian/Plant-Based Diets. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree and Dietetic Internship in Nutrition & Dietetics at the University of Texas at Austin. I spent the majority of my career in the San Francisco Bay Area before relocating back to Austin. I've worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, private practice, clinics, and coaching thousands online and on a mobile app. I take a holistic, functional medicine, and lifestyle approach to care.

My goal is to help you find the sweet spot of enjoying the foods you like while achieving and maintaining optimal health so that you can live your best life possible! I approach my patients with compassion and will never judge you or your choices. I will listen to your concerns, ask questions when appropriate, and offer advise with your permission. Overall my goal is help you find the best solutions that work for your lifestyle and not give one-size-fits-all advise.
Your first session with Sara
First we will start with a Comprehensive Health Assessment where I can get to know you better. I'll ask you questions about your pertinent health history, medications and supplements. I will ask you to tell me more about the type of foods that you like to eat and the foods that you dislike. Next we'll explore your activity, current stress level, social support, and sleep patterns. After I learn more about you and your health goals, we will work together on creating your Personalized Nutrition Plan, which can include recipe suggestions, snack ideas, shopping tips, meal planning and preparation. We will also set lifestyle goals for activity, stress management, and better sleep if needed.
