About Sara
Hi, I’m Sara! I’ve been a Registered Dietitian since 2019 and began working with Nourish in 2026. I also earned my Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM) credential in 2022, which allows me to support the goals of my clients using evidence-based approaches rather than restrictive dieting. I believe health improvement via nutrition therapy should feel supportive and empowering. I’m passionate about providing care while helping clients cut through misinformation and the noise of diet culture. I truly enjoy providing personalized nutrition recommendations and meeting clients where they are in their journey. My background includes work in high-acuity hospitals, outpatient clinics, and community health settings. These experiences have allowed me to build a strong clinical expertise while shaping my compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Approach to care
My approach focuses on helping people improve their health in ways that are sustainable and aligned with their lives, values, and goals. I work to dismantle all-or-nothing thinking around food and support clients in building a healthier relationship with eating and their bodies while still addressing medical concerns and overall well-being. I also do my best to acknowledge the role that social determinants of health—such as food access, financial constraints, time, culture, and chronic stress—play in shaping health, and I work with my clients to adapt recommendations to fit their real-life circumstances.
Your first session with Sara
Your first session is all about you—and getting to know each other! We’ll use this visit as a gentle, judgment-free starting point where I learn what brought you in, what goals you’re working toward, and what your current routine looks like. We may also review any recent lab work or medical history if it’s relevant to your care. From there, we’ll talk through what the science says about supporting your goals and collaborate on realistic, personalized strategies that fit your life. Think of it as a conversation and a team effort—we’ll build a plan together and take things one step at a time.
