About Sara
Sara Soyeju is a registered dietitian with a Masters in positive psychology, the science of mental wellbeing, from the University of Pennsylvania. Sara has 18 years of professional experience as a dietitian in the areas of behavior, psychology and weight loss management research, teaching graduate level nutrition counseling at NYU, and directing a community nutrition program in NYC.
Approach to care
She offers a unique approach that goes beyond food and nutrition facts—helping you connect the dots between what you eat, how you feel, and how you thrive. She helps you navigate healthy changes while also understanding your body, honoring your values, and building a mindset that supports growth. Her unique lens to Strength-based Nutrition Care is one that emphasizes on what’s working and build on your natural strengths, instead of zeroing in on “mistakes.” She will guide you by building your nutrition knowledge and other healthy habits and helping you think, feel, and relate to food and yourself in healthier, more empowering ways.
Your first session with Sara
Our first session is designed to be comfortable, supportive, and focused on you. Here’s what we’ll do: 1) Get to Know You: I’ll learn about your goals, lifestyle, health history, and relationship with food to build a personalized plan. 2) Explore Your Strengths: We’ll highlight your natural strengths and past successes as tools for growth. 3) Identify Priorities: We’ll clarify what matters most to you, whether it’s improving energy, mental well-being, building a healthier routine, or feeling more at peace with food. 4) Create a Starting Point: We’ll identify small, meaningful steps you can start practicing right away. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of your path forward, a personalized starting plan, and the confidence to figure this out alone.
