About Sara
I am a writer turned dietitian originally from Wisconsin, and by way of Virginia, now live in Tucson, AZ. I just recently got married, and my husband and I are looking forward to a new adventure in Arizona. I love to read, hike, stay active, and enjoy delicious food. (Can't wait for all the tacos in AZ!)
Approach to care
I am a non-diet, HAES-aligned dietitian. What does that mean? I work with clients to improve their relationship with food and body, while also addressing underlying causes, past trauma, and/or beliefs about food and body. While I specialize in sports and performance nutrition and disordered eating/eating disorders, it's my passion to help all clients dive deep into their relationship with food and body to improve their overall quality of life.
Your first session with Sara
I want to get to know you outside of the reason you scheduled a session! We will dive deep into what's been going on, when, how, why it started, OR try to figure out the answer to those questions. I believe that most things nutrition-related stem from somewhere we might not expect, and we'll work together to uncover that. Then, we can circle back to why you're here, and create a plan of care that will set you up for success in the coming sessions.
