About Sarah
With over 17 years of dedicated experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Sarah Amer has empowered thousands throughout her career to reach their health and nutrition goals. She has worked in fitness clubs, private practice, Early Intervention, WIC, retail, and more and is excited to now offer the same individualized care through Nourish. As a lifelong learner and passionate advocate for evidence-based nutrition, she holds multiple specialty certifications and trainings, including in weight management, food sensitivities, food allergies, and food safety. Sarah is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Approach to care
Sarah uses a holistic, personalized, and outcomes-based approach to care. True wellness goes beyond just whatâs on your plate. As such, Sarah addresses not only nutrition but also equally important factors like sleep, stress, emotional well-being, activity, mindset, habits, and behaviors. Together, youâll create a comprehensive plan to ânourishâ your body, mind, and soul. She also recognizes that no two journeysâor bodiesâare alike. She will take the time to identify your unique interests, needs, and concerns and will customize your plan of care accordingly. Lastly, Sarah will work with you to come up with realistic and measurable outcomes to help monitor your progress over time.
Your first session with Sarah
The first session is spent getting to know you, including your nutritional, medical, and biopsychosocial histories, your goals and priorities, and what you hope to achieve during your Nourish sessions. Before the end of the session, youâll come up 1-3 small actionable goals you can work on before delving deeper in future sessions.
