About Sarah

I’m Sarah and I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Since 2008, I have been providing individual and group nutrition counseling to adolescents and adults who struggle with eating disorders, disordered eating patterns, and chronic dieting. I have worked at all levels of care (inpatient, residential, partial, intensive outpatient, and outpatient). I also educate patients on the risks and benefits of GLP-1 medications and provide ongoing support for their proper use and management. My goal is to support you so that you can fuel your body well, find some level of food freedom, and live a healthier and happier life.

Approach to care

Building rapport | Motivational interviewing | Stages of change | Body autonomy | Informed consent | Joint decision making | Working through barriers | Setting challenging but manageable goals | Working with patients where they are at | Comfortable working with severe and enduring patients | Long-term behavior change

Your first session with Sarah

In your first nutrition counseling session, I’ll get to know you — you’ll tell me about your eating history and concerns, we’ll set some goals, and we’ll discuss the frequency of follow-up sessions. If there’s time, I'll work collaboratively with you to develop an individualized meal plan (if appropriate), provide nutrition education, and/or help challenge your food fears and weight hang-ups. If there's not enough time for this in the first session, we'll use follow-up sessions for this. If you’re stepping down from a higher level of care, we’ll pick up where you left off.
