About Sarah
I'm a Registered Dietitian based in North Carolina, holding a master's degree in Nutrition Science. With over seven years of experience in clinical outpatient care, I specialize in adult counseling for weight management and bariatric nutrition. As part of my experience in this field, I provide expert guidance on nutritional strategies for individuals using GLP-1 weight loss medications. My background also includes working closely with dialysis patients, emphasizing the critical role of renal dietetics in their care. In addition to clinical practice, my career also spans clinical research, where I've served as lead dietitian in multiple weight loss studiesādelivering lifestyle counseling and evidence-based support to study participants.
Approach to care
I take an individualized approach to your care. I recognize that nutrition is not a "one size fits all" prescription. I meet you where you are on your journey providing a personalized plan that leads to sustainable lifestyle habits that grow over time.
Your first session with Sarah
We will get to know each other! We will review your goals and expectations, current eating pattern and daily routine, medical conditions, and challenges to healthy lifestyle choices. We will start to build a nutritional plan that works for you and your lifestyle. We will review dietary approaches and and patterns to consider, setting goals that we can build on over our follow-up sessions.
